There's nothing like a good infograph that presents information in a digestible format. So when it's an infograph about about one of the most used metals - silver - we knew we had to share it with you.
Silver may often be seen as Gold's underrated sister, but its use in human civilisation has just as long a history. Since the ancient times - think 2686 BC - silver has been used by ancient Egyptians in burial services. Nowadays, we use it for more than that.
It's the properties of silver that make it so valuable. Not only is the precious metal malleable, resilient and even antibaterial, but silver can be used for anything from purifying water to decorative purposes.
