Mining Communications: The Modern Miner's Guide to Successful Communications
Mining communications in the pit is about the miners unique needs and operating environment, and communications technology needs to be technically capable to serve both masters. This presentation given by Andrew Watkinson, Business Manager for Surface Communications at Mine Site Technologies, at the Mine Site Automation & Communication conference in Perth in August 2011, seeks to keep the miners’ interests and environment front and centre, and surround those interests with dedicated technology in a practical sense to achieve success in their pit.
