Women in Mining and Resources WA (WIMWA) Reveal the Flip-side of FIFO

A barrage of negative press about the Fly-In Fly-Out lifestyle has prompted the Women in Mining WA network to launch an awareness campaign to present the positive aspects of FIFO work.

Women in Mining WA founder Sabina Shugg says the latest Parliamentary inquiry report into ‘fly-in, fly-out’ and ‘drive-in, drive-out’ work practices is strongly critical of FIFO operations - making recommendations it says are intended to ‘provide more incentive for ‘fly-in fly-out’ workers to become residential workers’.
