Supply Chain Management in Mining - Removing Bottlenecks and Improving Collaboration

In this recent mining interview, Mining IQ was delighted to have the opportunity to discuss this critical topic in detail with an industry expert, Jamie Bradford, Lead Logistics Manager for SKM. As SKM’s Lead Logistics Manager, Jamie has observed bottlenecks in processes caused by the lack of coordination and collaboration between governmental agencies and industry service providers in relation to the logistics task, particularly with regard to mine expansions.

He identified the potential to improve strategic supply chain management through collaboration to the benefit of the wider industry. The initiative revolves around potential benefits from an integrated approach to supply chain management in collaboration with several key players in Western Australian logistics.

For this initiative, Jamie was awarded the Professional of the Year award at the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILTA) Annual Transport and Logistics Industry Excellence Awards.
